Principles 11/3

I am behind already, DAMN. I need to kick myself in the butt and catch up this week, no excuses. Time to crank out the wooden figures.

Posing characters.

Must have a readable silhouette, instantly able to tell what the character is doing. Show an action in profile for clarity.

The line of action is a simple arc that runs thru the pose. Adds dynamics, balance and energy. Helps with movement and matching emotion with physical pose. Dont mirror image poses, add angles and turn away from straight on slightly. Vary body parts so they aren't symmetrical, draw eyes in perspective. Always draw a line of action first to help with posing. Push extreme curves to see what kind of poses you can create.

Break down the body into basic shapes first, only do linework when happy with the pose.

First attempt trying as Ruby suggested, and start with skeleton lines. I actually dont mind this one too much so yay!
